Artie Hemphill and the Iron Horse Band:
Contemporary & Classic CountryArtie Hemphill and the Iron Horse Band have one goal: to become the best Utah band in the country music genre. Playing both contemporary and classic country music regularly at the Westerner Club in Salt Lake City, the Owl Bar at Sundance, and dozens of fairs, festivals, and private events across the state, Artie Hemphill and the Iron Horse Band have surely earned the highly-sought “best of state” distinction.
Their signature sound is focused on the Nashville-quality vocals of lead singer Artie Hemphill. Artie spent ten years in studios and on stages in Nashville, honing his singing, songwriting, and performance skills. He brought his incomparable talents back to Utah recently, to be closer to his family, and has become a legend in his home state. Artie Hemphill is the voice you’ll hear on the radio for the popular jingle for the Days of ’47 Rodeo, an event that draws tens of thousands every year. Artie Hemphill and the Iron Horse Band also appeared KJZZ television recently, adding thousands more Utahns to their fan base.
Artie Hemphill and the Iron Horse Band is comprised of players who are pros from their hats to their boots: Mike Fjerstad on guitar, Drew Williams on keys, Ryan Flores on drums, and Dave Thurman on bass. These players have shared the stage at various times with national country headliners, including Toby Keith, Phil Vassar, Diamond Rio, Miranda Lambert, Little Texas, Restless Heart, Joe Diffie, Emerson Drive, Sawyer Brown, Michael Peterson, Bryan White, The Little River Band, .38 Special, and Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band.
Artie Hemphill and the Iron Horse Band know how to please both country and rock fans by mixing it up with classic and contemporary tunes from both genres. They’re booking out months in advance, so please call early to ensure availability for your event.
