Chance McKinney n’ Crosswire

Chance McKinney n’ Crosswire
According to Wikipedia, an industrialized country has a “high level of development.” “Industrialized” country artist Chance McKinney takes a genre known for drawl and twang and develops it without ever losing the connection to its roots. A Chance McKinney concert is enjoyed by fans of country, rock, and pop alike.
Chance McKinney named his band “Crosswire” appropriately, because not even a barbed wire fence could keep them contained within the bounds of what is assumed to be a country sound. Chance is a newcomer to Utah, and a natural showman. He puts on a concert so energetic and entertaining that we reckon he’s even gained fans from among rappers, opera devotees, and the hardest audience of all to satisfy: high school students. This is one of those country bands that even the most famous country bands wished they sounded like. Click Chance McKinney for more information, videos, and pictures.
Artie Hemphill

Artie Hemphill and the Iron Horse Band
Artie Hemphill (accompanied by his trusty band, Iron Horse) is probably the finest vocalist you’ll hear among all the country bands in the Intermountain West. His rich baritone speaks to true cowboys in a way that few others, even at a national level, can duplicate. And this was never more evident than when Artie and Iron Horse won the 2011 Stadium of Fire Talent Search in front of a frenzied crowd numbered in the tens of thousands.
Artie Hemphill was an obvious choice to record the vocals to “Let’s Go to the Rodeo,” the new theme song for the Days of ’47 rodeo. While riding around on the back of a Dodge truck, Artie debuted the tune live in 2009 in Salt Lake City during the Days of ’47. Since the Days of ‘47 PRCA-sanctioned competition happens every year, Artie Hemphill’s unmistakable vocals will be heard in the arena and over the radio by hundreds of thousands of rodeo fans for years to come. Though Artie Hemphill would qualify to perform anywhere in Nashville, he and Iron Horse are available throughout the west for concerts, fairs, festivals, weddings, and corporate events. Click Artie Hemphill for more information, videos, and pictures about one of the most talented country bands in the entire Western United States.

Mister Pickins

Mister Pickins – Hot Country Dance Band
Mister Pickins is a country music machine. We’ll wager they can play more tunes than a jukebox and they’re a lot more fun. The six song-shooters in Mister Pickins can play for six straight hours (or probably even longer) without repeating a tune, and their classic and contemporary country/rock combination earns them repeat invitations wherever they perform. This band has high entertainment value for fairs, festivals, weddings, and corporate events. Click Mister Pickins for more information, videos, and pictures.
Such a powerful experience as rodeo needs expression, and country music stars have used rodeo as the inspiration for some of their best tunes and metaphors about life. Artie Hemphill and Iron Horse, Mister Pickins, Due West, and Chance McKinney and Crosswire are country bands molded in the tradition of the best. Aaron Copland’s “Rodeo” is great for the symphony hall, but these four extraordinary bands tell the cowboy story with much more authenticity. True cowboys will recognize a bit of themselves in every one of these extraordinary country bands.

Check Out These Hot Country Bands & Artists:
The top country bands often try to express the feelings and emotions of cowboys. In spite of the aches and pains they endure from jouncing around on bucking bulls and broncos, rodeo cowboys must be healthy for three reasons:
- They get a medicinal dose of adrenaline every time they enter the ring.
- They get plenty of minerals in their diet from eating dirt on a regular basis.
- They listen to music that speaks to the heart and soul.
It takes extraordinary musicians to adequately express in song the challenges and emotions of the American cowboy. How does it feel to complete an eight second ride? How do you love your cowgirl with an equal mix of heart, soul, and body? The mighty Chris LeDoux used to sing about such things, but now he’s gone. Fortunately, good ol’ Utah has bred some great country bands, contenders for the legacy of the Western Underground and the legendary LeDoux:
