The Salamanders are a premier party band, consisting of five of the finest professional musicians you’ll ever see. They’ve been playing together in the studio and for live events since the early 90′s and have provided great live music for hundreds of large corporate events, conventions, concerts, private parties, and weddings.

The Salamanders are an accomplished group of studio musicians. Mindy Lilyquist is the lead singer and has been the headlining entertainment for events all over the world, showcasing her amazing vocal talents. Eddie Van Halen once called Mike Dowdle, their lead guitarist, the best guitar player he had ever seen. Mike has been featured on thousands of commercials, movie soundtracks, and CDs. He has been heard on the Oprah Winfrey show, the Today Show, and many others. Dave Despain, keyboardist, is an amazing musician and vocalist who is frequently heard on the radio, popular Sony PlayStation games, and on many CDs. Dave has played with a lot of top stars including Debbie Reynolds, Juice Newton, Lucy Lawless, Bo Diddy, and Collin Raye. Mike Rytting, bass player, is a talented musician who has backed up artists such as Tanya Tucker, the Coasters, the Drifters, and the Platters. Rick Senese, drummer, has performed at the 2002 Olympic opening ceremonies with the Dixie Chicks, and has recorded for NBC, ABC, ESPN, FOX, the Ricky Lake Show, and many more.

The Salamanders are the epitome of an entertaining variety dance band, with the ability to please every person at your event with all popular styles of music from light jazz standards to a great variety of rock, funk, country, Motown and top 40 hits. The Salamanders’ strength is high quality live music. Add to that their amazing ability to read your crowd and tailor their music to get your guests dancing from the beginning of the night and throughout the entire evening. The Salamanders also double as a live karaoke band, Rock With You. So if you ever dreamed of being the lead singer in a hip band, now’s your chance.
